About MacDonald's Aces

A classic trick. Maybe the best of the card assembly routines. Described by Ponsin in 1853(?). My favorite version is Ricky Jay's "The Four Queens."

About Shadow Coins

Many of you will have seen "shadow coins" tricks in the past. There are many variations. The routine invented by Daniel Garcia (shown below) has the advantage of being gaff-free and involves (as the title suggests) only 4 coins.

The Patter of Ricky Jay

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce my 52 assistants. Notice the contrast of style and character. They range from ingratiating simplicity to regal splendor. Some are passive and inert, others brazen and belligerent, some suicidal—just like you and me."
--Ricky Jay, from Ricky Jay and His 52 Assistants

About Mercury

Shown below is Mercury, created by David Kong. Hopefully Mr. Kong will not feel that I have butchered his beautiful trick.
